Getting in to Águeda
Car
Part of the litoral area, the region is crossed by elements of the north-south Porto-Lisbon roadway, and served by roads connecting it with Albergaria-a-Velha (in the north), Oiã (in the south), along the A25 and EN333, and the major EN1/IC2 motorway.
To reach Águeda, there are essentially three distinct roadways: the EN230 (that connects Aveiro to Caramulo), the EN333 (linking Oiã to the A25, in Talhadas) and the EN336, by way of the EN230 to Mortágua.
Train
Águeda train station is located at: Largo da Estação, 3750-116, Águeda
CP Services Regional and InterRegional train services.
For train enthusiasts, the Linha do Vouga (Vouga line) is the last surviving metre gauge railway line in Portugal still operated by Comboios de Portugal.

Bus and Coach
There is a new Public Passenger Transport Service serving Águeda called BUSWAY.
Through a new inter-municipal concession, the Municipality of Águeda now has a new fleet of public passenger transport services.
Each bus has free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and real-time geolocation systems that allow passengers to follow routes and obtain information about any delays.

Air
The nearest domestic and international airport Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto (99km).
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) is located 8 miles (13 km) to the north of Porto City centre.
Aveiro’s local Aeródromo Municipal de Aveiro is not currently operating (2023) as a civillian airport.
Getting around Águeda
